The analyst workbench
The analyst workbench is a conversational research surface. It orchestrates several governed capabilities behind one chat-style interface and lets you turn durable findings into shared wiki knowledge.
What it orchestrates
- Search — ACL-aware keyword + vector retrieval over the wiki.
- Governed read-only SQL — ask a data question in natural language; Premora translates it to SQL against an approved semantic model and runs it read-only. You never write raw SQL, and only safe, governed queries execute.
- Deep web research — optional Bing-backed research, kept off the core read path, with deduplicated result snapshots.
- Synthesis — the workbench combines these into a cited answer.
Governance is built in
- Every turn is attributable to a user and audited.
- Web research is opt-in / governed and isolated from the core browse-and-search path.
- Data questions run only against approved semantic models, read-only.
Durable knowledge
A useful research turn doesn’t have to be thrown away:
- Save it as a reference for yourself or your team.
- Promote it into the shared wiki as a draft, under review — turning a one-off answer into lasting, searchable team knowledge.
Classification & review
Conversations and promotions carry governance metadata (classification labels, review state) so sensitive material stays controlled and promoted content is reviewed before it becomes part of the shared wiki.
